FPL – GAMEWEEK 2

Manchester City and Liverpool are off to a flying starts for the new campaign. Arsenal, Manchester United and Spurs winning their respective games as well but fir Chelsea it didn’t go as planned for the first competitive game for Frank Lampard.

We head into the second gameweek of the season and FPL teams will begin to come in shape in a week or so. Picks for Gameweek 2 –

Captain picks for Game Week 2 –

  • Mohamed Salah (Popular Choice)
    vs Southampton FC
    Will be in the starting 11 for the gameweek. Scored a goal and assist in the first match of the season.
  • Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal) (My Choice)
    vs Burnley
    Last season he proved he is a very reliable option to have in your team.
  • Raheem Sterling
    vs Tottenham Hotspur
    Has a tricky fixture but scored a hat-trick in the previous game so his confidence will be sky high.
  • Christian Pulisic (Chelsea)
    vs Leicester City

    Pulisic had a very good outing in the UEFA SUPER CUP FINAL 2019 against Liverpool. Can start the game on Sunday.
  • Richarlison (Everton)
    vs Watford

    Richarlison can come good against his former club and with Everton looking solid this season he can provide some handy points.

Defenders –

  • Andrew Robertson (Liverpool)
    vs Southampton

    Full Back who loves to run down the wing and provide crosses and assists for the attackers.
  • Lucas Digne (Everton)
    vs Watford

    Everton will be looking to get their first win of the campaign and they also have a better fixture list comparatively.
  • Aaron Wan-Bissaka (Manchester United)
    vs Wolves

    New Start for Wan-Bissaka after a very successful campaign last season. With United signing Harry Maguire they look strong defensively. Had a good first game against Chelsea.
  • Harry Maguire (Manchester United)
    vs Wolves

    United really look strong in Defense with new signings of Wan Bissaka and Maguire and can look forward to an improved campaign this season.
  • Sokratis Papastathopoulos (Arsenal)
    vs Burnley

    It could be easy fixture fir Arsenal. They have strengthen their team with new exciting signings.

Midfielders –

    United had a very good first game with Pogba dictating the play. He has always been in and around to score goals and get assists.

Forwards –

  • Marcus Rashford (Manchester United)
    vs Wolves

    United having sold Lukaku to Inter Milan now have Rashford as their main striker. And he does like being in the centre forward position.
  • Sergio Agüero (Manchester City)
    vs Tottenham Hotspur

    Into his 9th season with the Club Aguero has been always providing goals for City. Aguero is competing for the Golden boot in every season. Big match player.
  • Diogo Jota (Wolves)
    vs Manchester United

    Had an impressive season last year and can be a very handy less expensive option.

These were the picks of the week. Manchester City vs Spurs is the stand-out fixture and Chelsea vs Leicester City is also going to be a tricky one this weekend. Arsenal vs Burnley, Everton vs Watford, Liverpool vs Southampton look easy ones for this weekend.

I have not made any transfer yet and have an unchanged team for the gameweek-2. I got 61 points from the first gameweek. Looking forward for a more stronger weekend.
