Premier League is back after the midweek EFL Cup action. All the big teams, apart from Spurs, have progressed through to the next round in the Carabao Cup. Manchester United as well escaped a scare from Rochdale.

Manchester City made a statement victory over Watford last week by scoring eight unreplied goals. Bernardo Silva scored a hat-trick, fourth player to do so this season. Riyad Mahrez, who replaced Sterling in the starting line-up, assisted twice and scored a goal. His Performance has seriously raised a question over the selection of Raheem Sterling. Sterling, who is now priced at £12.1 (-0.2 in last 2 gameweeks) is creating a dilemma within the FPL managers whether to stick with him or not. There are several options to replace him and as well straight swaps options are also good for some.

Is it time to replace Raheem Sterling ?

FPL managers need to keep some things in mind that you don’t need to change your players every week just because you get a free transfer. Never make a transfer out of panic. Transfer made should always be backed up by recent stats, previous results and upcoming fixtures etc. New FPL managers always rush into things and lose the long race.

Gameweek 7 has few tight and close fixtures involving the heavy weight clash between Manchester United and Arsenal at the Old Trafford on Monday night. Leicester City are up against Newcastle United at home, which also looks to be a tough one for both the teams. And on Saturday evening, Everton and Manchester City will lock horns at Goodison Park. This fixture can be difficult to predict because you never know which Everton will turn up at home against City. Everton can be very difficult to beat on their day but can also be very vulnerable.

Here are my suggestions for possible dream team this gameweek 6 –

Possible Dream team for this gameweek ?
Captain Choice – Mason Mount

Let us start with my Captain choice for this gameweek, which is Mason Mount. Mount, by now, has shown that he has everything to be a successful Premier League player. He can dribble, pass, make off-the ball runs and finish as well. Mount is up against Brighton Hove Albion at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea will be looking to win their first game at the Bridge in the League. After smashing Grimsby Town 7-1 in the cup mid-week, they will be looking to get a win if not the same amount of goals. Priced at £6.6, Mount is the player you should get before his price climbs more. He has 8 shots on target which is the second most by a Chelsea player. Chelsea fixtures appear to be delicious, their next six consecutive games have Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR) of 2. Mason can be a very crucial player for Chelsea during this time and he can maintain some consistency in your FPL teams as well. Prediction – Chelsea 3-0 Brighton Hove Albion.

NamePricePointsAgainst with Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR)
Nick Pope£4.6 24Aston Villa, FDR – 2

Nick Pope appear to be the best choice keeper to keep a clean sheet this week. Priced at only £4.6 and selected by 14.2% FPL managers make him leading choice keeper for the week. Points for clean sheets are hard to come by so far this season, but Burnley’s schedule can help you gain points from the keeper’s position. Nick Pope sit at the number one spot in terms of sweeper clearances in the league with 7 clearances made. Burnley are yet to lose to a team outside the ‘Top Six’ in the League this season. Prediction – Aston Villa 0-2 Burnley.

NamePricePointsAgainst with Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR)
Erik Pieters£4.7 27Aston Villa, FDR – 2

Pieters is priced at just £4.7, which is very reasonable for a defender who can give you points for clean sheets and as well can pop-up with an assist with his crossing. He is selected by 11.2% FPL managers and is gaining interest because of Burnley’s solid defence. Erik Pieters have made 24 tackles this season, which is the fourth most in the league. Burnley are up against Aston Villa, who sit in relegation zone and with a stat saying they haven’t lost a match to a team outside the ‘Top Six’ in this season, they will look to continue to keep up with that record. Prediction – Aston Villa 0-2 Burnley.

NamePricePointsAgainst with Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR)
Aaron Cresswell£4.9 14AFC Bournemouth, FDR – 3

Aaron Cresswell has replaced Arthur Masuaku, who was sent off against Aston Villa, and how he grasped his opportunity with both hands. Not only did he defend incredibly well, but he also scored an absolute superb goal. Cresswell is of £4.9 price tag and only in 0.6% FPL teams. A performance like that against Manchester United team is worthy of a place in starting line-up again. With only 0.6% FPL managers having his services, Cresswell can be a differential option for this week. Prediction – AFC Bournemouth 0-2 West Ham United.

Ricardo Pereira£6.0 26Newcastle United, FDR – 2
Ricardo Pereira (number 21)

Pereira has emerged as a reliable defender to pick as he delivers points. His runs down the wings and some times even into the box have helped him get assists and score a goal or two. He is priced at £6.0 and selected by 6.0% FPL managers. Leicester City, sitting pretty at third spot in the league, have looked like a solid team this season. Leicester City’s next eleven fixtures include nine fixtures of FDR – 2. Ricardo Pereira has made 29 tackles in the League this season, which is second most by a player this season. This might be a good time to get Pereira into your team before it is too late. Leicester City have not yet lost a fixture at home this season (Win-2, Draw-1). Prediction – Leicester City 2-0 Newcastle United.

NamePricePointsAgainst with Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR)
Trent Alexander-Arnold £7.1 31Sheffield United, FDR – 2

Alexander-Arnold scored a wonderful free kick in his last fixture against Chelsea. As stated in my previous blog, he is a threat with his crosses from the flanks and even from corners. He is at Liverpool’s free-kicks and corners duty, which makes him open to get goals and assists. He is now second on the list of Big Chances Created in the PL this season with 5 to his name, and number One on the list of number of crosses. Trent has attempted 60 crosses this season which opens up opportunity of getting assists. He is selected in 28.3% FPL teams. Liverpool are still unbeaten in the league. Prediction – Sheffield United 1-3 Liverpool.

NamePricePointsAgainst with Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR)
Emiliano Buendia£6.026Crystal Palace, FDR – 2

Emiliano is owned by 2.1% FPL managers, which has increased from being 1.9% last week. He is clearly seen as a differential in the midfield. Emiliano Buendia has attempted 30 crosses in the league, most by any Norwich player. With making that many crosses, he can land up with many more assists this season. Although he blanked last week, he has 4 assists to his name which is second most in the league after obviously Kevin De Bruyne. He is selected by only 2.1% managers still, looking at Norwich City’s fixture this is the right time to bring him in your teams. Prediction – Crystal Palace 1-2 Norwich City.

NamePricePointsAgainst with Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR)
Kevin De Bruyne£9.954Everton, FDR – 4
Kevin De Bruyne (number 17)

De Bruyne weaved his magic again last week, bagging a goal and couple of assists. He has been clearly back to his best form and is looking deadly. Manchester City has lost just one game and KDB didn’t start that game, clearly a must have player in City’s starting line-up. Kevin has 54 points which is just one points less than Aguero at the top. He has 7 assists, most by anyone in the league, 3 more than second place Emiliano Buendia. He also tops the chart for Big Chances Created with 9 to his name, which is almost double the amount of the second placed Trent and Firmino. Third in the list of crosses, KDB has 50 number of crosses in the league. He is selected by 40.3% of FPL managers. KDB is a must have material with all these stats keeping in mind. Prediction – Everton 0-3 Manchester City.

NamePricePointsAgainst with Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR)
Mohamed Salah£12.5 50Sheffield United, FDR – 2

Mohamed Salah is selected by 42.2% of FPL managers priced at £12.5. He has 50 points which is the fourth most in the league. He has 3 assists to his name which is most by a Liverpool player this season shared with Firmino. Salah has scored 4 goals this season, which is again most by a Liverpool player and shared with Sadio Mane. Liverpool are unbeaten in the league and don’t look to be beaten anytime soon. Salah has not blanked yet and he is always dangerous in front of goal. Prediction – Sheffield United 1-3 Liverpool.

NamePricePointsAgainst with Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR)
Tammy Abraham£7.544Brighton Hove Albion, FDR – 2
Tammy Abraham (number 9)

Tammy has been in incredible form this season and he has scored 7 goals. He is second on the list of goals scored. He has 9 shots on target which is most by a Chelsea player and third in the league. Priced at £7.5, he is selected by 31.8% FPL managers. Tammy Abraham is the most transferred-in player this week ( 469776 transfer-in this week ). He has secured 44 points this season, most by a Chelsea player. Prediction – Chelsea 3-0 Brighton Hove Albion.

NamePricePointsAgainst with Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR)
Teemu Pukki£7.151Crystal Palace, FDR – 2

Teemu Pukki has 51 points which is third in the list of total points. The Norwich player has 14 shots on target, most by any player in the league. Pukki has scored 6 goals and is 2 behind Sergio at the top. Pukki, selected by 44.8% FPL managers, has created 3 big chances which is most by a Norwich player. He has always looked dangerous in front of goal for club and country this season. With Cantwell and Buendia creating chances for him, Pukki is always in for a chance to score a goal anytime. Prediction – Crystal Palace 1-2 Norwich City.

These players look most likely to feature in the Dream Team this Gameweek. Some of the player choices are for long term. Chelsea fixtures make some of the players important to be in FPL teams. Emiliano Buendia is also a player to look out for and KDB is the must have player in our FPL teams. Good Luck managers for the upcoming gameweek! Hope this article help you in picking players for your teams!!
